Gulrez, the weary and thirsty prince of Bagdad meets a blind dancing girl, connected with a cafe while returning from the hunt, who quenches his thirst Sardar Samroo, Keeper of the cafe, who had lent money to the mother of Nadira, wants to get her in lieu of his loan which is possible only through an auction of the blind girl.
On the eve of the auction, compelled by a storm, prince Gulrez is obliged to take shelter in the house of Nadira. Through this accidental meeting, he learns about the blindness of Nadira and the forthcoming auction. While leaving the house the next day, he presents a purse, full of golden Deenars to her mother to pay off the loan of Samroo and promises to the beautiful Nadira to restore her eyesight.
The auction starts at the due hour. Sultan, a rich man of the place, who loves Nadira, wants to frustrate the plans of Samroo by bidding the highest, but Samroo's associates kidnap him at the right hour. In the meantime, Gulrez enters the scene and tries to prevent the auction which leads to an armed clash. The prince fights bravely single-handed but ultimately has to effect his escape. Samroo then tries to molest Shama, another dancing girl from the cafe, who is in love with Sultan. Shama resists the evil design of Samroo and succeeds in getting Sultan free. At the same time, prince Gulrez sends his armed men to arrest Samroo and his associates. Having rescued Nadira thus, he starts for the land of thousand Fairies and returns from there with a magic diamond which restored the eyesight of Nadira. Prince Gulrez promises Nadira to make her his queen on the auspicious moment of his coronation. This idea is violently opposed by the prince's mother, but Gulrez gives preference to Nadira to the throne and is, therefore, banished from the kingdom.
This starts a new series of interesting events. You are invited to see on the screen the unprecedented miseries and worries which fell to the banished prince Gulrez and his love, Nadira.
